Environmental Agency Recycling Targets
For some time now, the government and the Environmental Agency have set certain recycling targets. Norris Newbury-Park recognizes these targets and they are: The English and Welsh environment is protected and improved upon by the Environmental Agency. They ensure that their targets are met while also offering other environmental services to areas that need them, by working with several other government organisations and local authorities. The Environmental Agency continuously strives to improve water, land, and air quality. The Environmental Agency encourages the conservation of animals, land, and natural resources, and controls environmental pollution by implementing certain efforts. That’s not all! Among other things, the body enlightens the general populace on environmental issues, promotes the recycling of household products to decrease their piling up in large quantities, and educates on raising the standards of waste removal. With the telephone number – 08708 506 506, you can contact the Environmental Agency head office in Bristol at Rio House, Waterside Drive, Almondsbury BS32 4UD, or contact their office in your region. A landfill directive has been released in relation to Government Targets. The directive released contains government targets aimed at reducing the amount of waste taken to landfill spots in the UK. Other Skip Hire Pricing Factors
A number of factors matter and have to be looked into when you want to hire a skip. We understand all of these factors on skip hiring pricing at Norris Newbury-Park, and we have taken it upon ourselves to briefly help you understand as well. Regional Pricing – hiring a skip will cost something different in different regions. A skip priced at £50 in London, for example, may be priced at £20 in Newbury-Park. The length of time you want the skip for will also affect its pricing; the longer you want it for, the higher the cost. Also bearing in mind that skip hire permits only last for a set period of time as well. Limitations and Restrictions – skips usually have weight limits even with their sizes. You have to find out if there are limitations from your skip hire service provider. Ask if there are any items that aren’t allowed in the skip and stick to the restrictions if there are, so you won’t be sanctioned or fined.
Issues with renting skips in Newbury-Park
Skip hire is not always easy, you have to get the right one, and there’s more stress if you need a permit- we know all of this at Norris Newbury-Park. Issues to be considered when hiring a skip in Newbury-Park are local council laws, red routes, double yellow lines, narrow paths, congestion zones, small front space, pedestrian only lanes and red routes. We know that the growing population in Newbury-Park will mean a more difficult skip hiring process soon. Alternative to kip hiring and getting a hire permit, our waste disposal services are available for your use.
Skip Hire Rules and regulations
The Control of Pollution Act of 1974 was replaced by a new waste licensing system in 1994 to regulate the deposit, recovery, and removal of “controlled waste”. Any industrial, commercial, or household waste in solid or liquid form is referred to as controlled waste. People who only do waste disposals from personal gardens were not included in getting the license. In order to have the license, the person applying has to show that they are fit to hold it. If an applicant wishes to own a new site, they have to show how “technically competent” they are by possessing the (WAMITAB) certificate, this is the the Waste Management Industry Training and Advisory Board.
Those involved in the creation, bringing in, conveyance, storage, treatment or removal of controlled waste have their own duty of care in section 34 of the Act. According to the Act, “any escape or waste must be avoided, waste can only be moved to an authorized person, the waste being transferred should go with a written description or you will be penalized.” How waste is disposed of is controlled by special waste regulations 1996 and the hazardous waste regulations 2005.
Skip Hire Permits
A skip hire permit is a must have for skips hired for construction projects with the intention of placing them on any public land. In regards to the land or space you would be placing the skip on that isn’t yours, you need a skip hire permit. These lands include federal highways and government roads, third party owned lands, and land along streets. A skip hire isn’t necessary when you have land to use and won’t be crossing into another person’s land or government owned land. Intruding on another person’s land, privacy or space may get you fined, or the skip may be removed and seized. With £20, you can get a skip hire permit, but charges may differ because of the skip size or council who issue the permit. There are also skip hire permits that cost £60, £80, and even as much as £100. You can contact the council office to find out more about the pricing if you wish. We make it our business at Norris Newbury-Park to make skip hiring easy for you. You don’t need the hassle involved with getting a skip hire permit because we can get it for you as we deliver your choice of skip. We include the cost of getting ski hire permits in our online quotes when you request them, which can be removed if you already have land or a place on which to put the skip. We can get skip hire services along with permits that have up to 14 day validity. You can reach us now on 020 8698 8000 if you need to know more details on skip hire permits and other waste disposal services.

Recycling Targets/Landfill Policy
There are recycling targets put in place by the Environmental Agency and government. We at Norris Newbury-Park acknowledge these targets and here they are: The goal of the Environmental Agency is to secure the protection and improvement of the environment in England and Wales. A lot government organisations and local authorities are in place to make sure they reach their targets, and that areas that need environmental services get the ones they have to offer. The aim of the agency is also to make sure the quality of land, air and water gets better constantly. They work towards the control of pollution in the environment and encourage the protection of natural resources like plants and animals. It doesn’t stop at that! They also provide enlightenment for people on better waste control methods such as recycling household waste. You can visit them at their office in your region, or their head office at Rio House, Waterside Drive, Almondsbury BS32 4UD. You can also call them on 08 708 506 506. As for Government Targets, a landfill directive was released. It gives a recommended target on how much the amount of waste needs to be reduced for landfilling spots in the United Kingdom. It further stated that, from 2007, landfills were to only take untreated waste. Beginning from the most recent year, here are the target: Only 35% of the waste taken in 1995 should be taken for landfill sites in the UK in 2015. Only 50% of the waste taken in 1995 should be taken for landfill sites in the UK in 2013. The quantity of waste taken to landfill sites in the UK by 2010 should be 75% of what was taken in 1995. Furthermore, the following targets were introduced by the Waste Strategy 2000, for waste recovery and to make the landfill directive achievable: 67% of waste should be recovered as of 2015, 45% of waste should be recovered as of 2010, 40% of waste should be recovered as of 2005.
Waste Strategy 2000 had published in it, by the government, the natural recycling targets, which are as follows:
33% of household waste must be composted or recycled as of 2015. By 2010, 30% of household waste should be composted or recycled. By 2005, 25% of household waste should be composted or recycled – while that of each local authority was 30% as of the same year. A ” Waste Performance and Efficiency Grant” was set up by the government to move the efforts of the local authorities towards more recycling and reduction of waste, and for landfill diversion. Recyclable materials include the following and more: metal, building materials, batteries, paper, printer, cartridges, plastic, wood, clinical waste electricals and electronics, computers, and composting
