It goes for the smallest price among all our skips.
- 4 Yard Skip Hire The 4 yard skip is also available for hire at Norris Frinsted. The 4 yard skip has two times the capacity of the 4 Yard skip, at a height of 0.90 meters. Its width of 1.5m by 2.5m allows space for larger products, such as kitchen and bathroom refits, appliances, electronics, and furniture. 45 to 50 black waste bags, and a little over 17 full barrow loads of waste, can fit into it. - 6 Yard Skip Hire The 6 yard skip is perfect for home extension projects and office premises renovations. The 6 yard skip may be used to carry builders waste like soil and pavers stones, and is provided at Norris Frinsted. Its holding space can take about to 75 to 95 black disposal bags, or 30 full barrow loads of building dirt, as it has a width of 1.8m by 2.3m. This skip is probably the most used around your area.
- 8 Yard Skip Hire We also hire out 8 yard skips, which are best used for extensive projects. The 8 yard skip is very similar to the 6 yard skip, but it just has room for more items. The 8 yard skip is 1.9m by 3.4m wide, but surpasses the 6 yard skip in holding space by almost 20%. 100-115 full black waste bags can be stashed into it safely, or 40 barrow loads of paving stones, bricks, concrete, slabs and soil. For large home removals, this skip is the ideal choice.

We at Norris Frinsted acknowledge these targets and here they are: The mission of the Environmental Agency is to ensure the improvement and protection of the environment in England and Wales. The Environmental Agency does not meet its targets or offer other environmental services to areas that need it all alone, because they partner with several other local authorities and organisations to achieve these goals. The Environmental Agency continuously strives to improve water, land, and air quality. They control environmental pollution, and also encourage the conservation of animals, plants and other natural resources by implementing certain efforts towards these goals. It gets better! The body also enlightens the general populace on issues regarding the environment, improving waste removal standards, encouraging the recycling of household products to reduce the quantity of waste, and lots more. Call 08708 506 506 to connect to the head office of the Environmental Agency, located in Bristol at Rio House, Waterside Drive, Almondsbury BS32 4UD or just visit their office in your region. As for Government Targets, a landfill directive was released. The directive released contains government targets aimed at reducing the amount of waste taken to landfill spots in the UK. Starting from the most recent year, these are the targets: That the amount of waste taken to landfill spots in the UK by 2015 be only 35% of the amount taken in 1995. The waste taken to landfill spots in the UK should be 50% of the amount taken in 1995 by 2013. By 2010, the waste taken to landfill sites around the United Kingdom should be 75% of what was taken in 1995. To help make the landfill directive achievable and recover waste, the following targets were also introduced by the Waste Strategy 2000: As at 2015, 67% of waste should be recovered, 45% of waste should be recovered as of 2010, while 40% of waste should be recovered as of 2005. Contained in the Waste Strategy 2000 are the natural recycling targets published by the government. The following are the targets: 33% of household waste should be composted or recycled by 2015. The target projects that, as of 2010, 30% of household waste should either be recycled or composted. 25% of household waste should be composted or recycled, and local authorities were set at 30% both by 2005. The government, in its quest to reduce waste, for landfill diversion, and to assist local authorities in more recycling, has issued a “Waste Performance and Efficiency Grant”. Here is a list of recyclable materials: computers, printer cartridges, glass, oil, electrical and electronics, furniture, batteries, paper, vehicles, clinical waste, metal, and a variety of others. Other Skip Hire Pricing Factors
Some factors are important to look into when hiring a skip. We at Norris Frinsted understand these skip hire pricing factors, and we have decided to give you a brief explanation of each of them. Regional Pricing – the cost of hiring a skip differs from region to region. If you get a skip for £50 in London, for example, the same size might cost you just £20 in Frinsted. How long you want to keep the skip will affect the price of the skip. The longer the period of time you intend to keep it, the more likely you are to pay a higher amount. Remembering as well that skip hire permits have a time frame and expiry dates. Limitations and Restrictions – every skip can only take a certain amount of weight regardless of their size. Make enquiries from your service provider on the limitations they might have. Find out what products aren’t allowed in the skip and follow the restrictions, to avoid being sanctioned or fined.
Issues with renting skips in Frinsted
The process of hiring a skip is often difficult, especially if you want to get a skip hire permit as well. We know about all of these difficulties at Norris Frinsted. The following concerns may be attached to skip hiring in Frinsted: local council laws, double yellow lines, small gardens, narrow paths, congestion zones, limited front space, red routes, and pedestrian only lanes. At the rate at which Frinsted is growing in population, skip hiring will become more and more difficult. You don’t have to worry about skip hiring and acquiring a permit, we can provide waste disposal services instead.
Skip Hire Rules and regulations
The regulation of waste deposits, and the recovery and removal of “controlled waste” is handled by the waste licensing system that was put in place in 1994, replacing the 1974 Control of Pollution Act. Controlled waste refers to liquid or solid industrial, commercial, and household wastes. The license is not needed by those who only dispose of waste from their personal gardens. Anyone applying for the license has to show proof that they can handle it. Anyone applying to own a new site has to have the Waste Management Industry Training and Advisory Board (WAMITAB) certificate, which proves they are “technically competent”.
Those involved in the creation, bringing in, conveyance, storage, treatment or removal of controlled waste have their own duty of care in section 34 of the Act. The following was stated in the Act: “any escape or waste must be avoided, waste can only be moved to an authorized person, the waste being transferred should go with a written description or you will be penalized.” How waste is disposed of is controlled by special waste regulations 1996 and the hazardous waste regulations 2005.
Skip Hire Permits
Do you want to hire a skip for a construction project that will involve placing it on public land? Then you will need a skip hire permit. Using land that is not yours to place the skip means you must have a skip hire permit. It could be land that belongs to a third party, a federal highway, government road, or along the street. However, if you have a piece of land or property to place the skip in, and you are sure that it won’t intrude on council land or someone else’s property, then you won’t have to get a skip permit. Your skip could be removed and seized, however, if it extends into land that isn’t yours or that of those involved in your project, you even be fined. For as low as £20 you can get a skip hire permit – depending on the size of the skip and the council that is issuing the permit to you at the time. Some skip hire permits cost higher than £20, possibly £60, £80, and up to £100. You can contact the council office to find out more about the pricing if you wish. However, it’s our duty at Norris Frinsted to make your skip hire a smooth process. You don’t need the hassle involved with getting a skip hire permit because we can get it for you as we deliver your choice of skip. Our online quotes also include skip hire permit costs, which doesn’t matter if you have your own land or space on which to place the skip. Our skip hire service can come with skip hire permits that are valid for 14 days. We are always available on 020 8698 8000 to provide you with details on skip hire and other waste disposal services we have.

We uphold these set recycling rules at Norris Frinsted and you can find them below: The mission of the Environmental Agency is to ensure the improvement and protection of the environment in England and Wales. A lot government organisations and local authorities are in place to make sure they reach their targets, and that areas that need environmental services get the ones they have to offer. The Environmental Agency also endeavors to make sure land, air and water are constantly improved in terms of quality. They set up systems to regulate environmental pollution, and also promote the preservation of plants, animals and other natural resources. They don’t stop there either! The body works to educate the general populace on environmental issues to improve waste handling standards, by encouraging more recycling of waste in the household to cut down on overall waste quantity. You can contact the Environmental Agency office in your region, or visit the head office in Bristol at Rio House, Waterside Drive, Almondsbury BS32 4UD. Telephone: 08708 506 506. As for Government Targets, a landfill directive was released. It states that targets for lowering the quantity of waste taken to landfill spots in the United Kingdom. It added as well that landfills from 2007 should only take waste that has been treated. From the most recent year, the targets are the following: Only 35% of the waste taken in 1995 should be taken for landfill sites in the UK in 2015. In 2013, only 50% of the waste collected for filling UK landfill sites in 1995 should be collected. The quantity of waste taken to landfill sites in the UK by 2010 should be 75% of what was taken in 1995. The Waste Strategy 2000 included the following targets, as a way of making sure waste is recovered and the landfill directive is reached: Of all the waste, 67% should be recovered in 2015, 45% of it recovered in 2010, and 40% of it recovered in 2005.

No less than 25% of household waste should be composted or recycled in 2005, local authorities were set at 30% for the same year. A ” Waste Performance and Efficiency Grant” was issued by the government to assist local authorities in more recycling, reduction of waste, and landfill diversions. A list of materials that can be recycled include: wood, vehicles, composting, clinical waste, building materials, batteries, paper, printer cartridges, plastic, furniture, glass, oil, metal, electricals and electronics, computers, and a few others.
