Other Skip Hire Pricing Factors
Skip hire pricing factors need to be well considered before hiring a skip. We at Norris Langdon understand these skip hire pricing factors, and we have decided to give you a brief explanation of each of them. Regional Pricing – every region has its own skip hire cost. A skip priced at £50 in London, for example, may be priced at £20 in Langdon. Pricing is also influenced by how long you want to keep the skip, the more time you want it, the higher the cost would likely be. Also bearing in mind that skip hire permits only last for a set period of time as well. Limitations and Restrictions – different skip sizes also have different weight limits. You need to know about what limitations or restrictions your skip hire service provider may have. Also, make enquiries about products that shouldn’t be put in it. Obey these restrictions to avoid any sanctions or fines.
Issues with renting skips in Langdon
Skip hire is not always easy, you have to get the right one, and there’s more stress if you need a permit- we know all of this at Norris Langdon. Issues to be considered when hiring a skip in Langdon are local council laws, red routes, double yellow lines, narrow paths, congestion zones, small front space, pedestrian only lanes and red routes. We know that the growing population in Langdon will mean a more difficult skip hiring process soon. However, you can make use of our rubbish removal services, instead of worrying about renting a skip and hustling for a skip hire permit.
Skip Hire Rules and regulations
The Control of Pollution Act of 1974 was replaced by a new waste licensing system in 1994 to regulate the deposit, recovery, and removal of “controlled waste”. Controlled wastes are wastes from industrial, commercial, and household processes in solid or liquid form. Personal garden waste disposal does not require the use of the license. Anyone applying for the license has to show proof that they can handle it. Anyone applying to own a new site has to have the Waste Management Industry Training and Advisory Board (WAMITAB) certificate, which proves they are “technically competent”.
Those involved in the creation, bringing in, conveyance, storage, treatment or removal of controlled waste have their own duty of care in section 34 of the Act. It stated that “any escape or waste must be avoided, waste can only be moved to an authorized person, the waste being transferred should go with a written description or you will be penalized.” The special waste regulations 1996 and the hazardous waste regulations 2005 are in charge of controlling the way waste is disposed.
Skip Hire Permits
Do you want to hire a skip for a construction project that will involve placing it on public land? Then you will need a skip hire permit. Skip hire permits are necessary for situations where you need to place a skip on a piece of land or in a space that isn’t yours. It could be land that belongs to a third party, a federal highway, government road, or along the street. If you have land or property you intend to used, you don’t need a skip hire permit, as long as it won’t intrude on land that isn’t yours. Intruding on another person’s land, privacy or space may get you fined, or the skip may be removed and seized. For as low as £20 you can get a skip hire permit – depending on the size of the skip and the council that is issuing the permit to you at the time. Some skip hire permits cost higher than £20, possibly £60, £80, and up to £100. The local council office can provide you with the specifics you need on pricing. We want to ensure you have a much easier skip hire process at Norris Langdon. So why go through the stress of getting a skip hire permit when we can get it for you, while we deliver the skip you require? When you request an online quote, we include the cost of getting a permit, which will not be necessary if you have land of your own to place the skip in. Our skip hire service can come with skip hire permits that are valid for 14 days. Call us today on 020 8698 8000 and we will provide you with any details you might need on our skip hire permits and waste management services.
