Environmental Agency Recycling Targets
The government and the Environmental Agency have set new targets to be reached by all recycling agencies. We acknowledge these targets which include: The aim of the Environmental Agency is to see to the protection and improvement of the environment in Wales and England. They ensure that their targets are met while also offering other environmental services to areas that need them, by working with several other government organisations and local authorities. The Environmental Agency also strives to improve the quality of water, land, and air continuously. The Environmental Agency encourages the conservation of animals, land, and natural resources, and controls environmental pollution by implementing certain efforts. There are still other things! The agency also puts effort in ensuring that people are up to date in environmental matters, raises waste removal standards and promotes the recycling of household products to significantly reduce the quantity of waste, among other objectives. With the telephone number – 08708 506 506, you can contact the Environmental Agency head office in Bristol at Rio House, Waterside Drive, Almondsbury BS32 4UD, or contact their office in your region. A landfill order has been issued concerning Government Targets. It states the targets for lowering the quantity of waste taken to landfill spots in the United Kingdom. The targets, as of the most recent year, include: The waste taken to landfill spots in the UK should be 35% of the amount taken in 1995 by 2015. That the amount of waste taken to landfill spots in the UK by 2013 be only 50% of the amount taken in 1995. The waste taken to landfill spots in the UK should be 75% of the amount taken in 1995 by 2010. Furthermore, the following targets were introduced by the Waste Strategy 2000, for waste recovery and to make the landfill directive achievable: 45% of all waste should be recovered by the end of 2010, 67% of waste should be recovered by 2015, while 40% of waste be recovered as of 2005. For the natural recycling targets, you’ll find them published by the government in the Waste Strategy 2000. The following are the targets: By the year 2015, 33% of household waste should either be recycled or it should be composted. By the year 2010, 30% of household waste should be either recycled or it should be composted. By 2005, 25% of household waste should be composted or recycled, while that of each local authority was 30% as in the same year. Local authorities can now be assisted to do more recycling through the government issued “Waste Performance and Efficiency Grant” which will also help reduce waste and landfill diversion. Recyclable materials were listed, which include: wood, vehicles, clinical waste, building materials, composting, printer cartridges, batteries, paper, computers, plastic, glass, furniture, oil, metal, electronic and electricals, and so on. To be up to date on any new entry in the targets, especially in recent years, visit the Norris Buckinghamshire office at Buckinghamshire.

Other Skip Hire Pricing Factors
There a couple of factors that should be taken into consideration when hiring a skip. All these factors are well understood by us at Norris Buckinghamshire and we are going to make them clear to you. Regional pricing – skip hire costs differ by location, it could be higher or lower. You might get a skip at £50 in London, for instance, and get the same skip size for £20 in Buckinghamshire. Pricing is also influenced by how long you want to keep the skip, the more time you want it, the higher the cost would likely be. Keeping in mind there are time limits on skip hire permits too. Limitations and Restrictions – every skip can only take a certain amount of weight regardless of their size. Ask your skip hire service provider if they have restrictions on their skips. Also, make enquiries about products that shouldn’t be put in it. Obey these restrictions to avoid any sanctions or fines.
Issues with renting skips in Buckinghamshire
At Norris Buckinghamshire, we are aware of all the challenges that come with hiring the best skips, especially if you have to get a skip hire permit as well. The following concerns may be attached to skip hiring in Buckinghamshire: local council laws, double yellow lines, small gardens, narrow paths, congestion zones, limited front space, red routes, and pedestrian only lanes. At the rate at which Buckinghamshire is growing in population, skip hiring will become more and more difficult. However, you can make use of our rubbish removal services, instead of worrying about renting a skip and hustling for a skip hire permit.
Skip Hire Rules and regulations
The regulation of waste deposits, and the recovery and removal of “controlled waste” is handled by the waste licensing system that was put in place in 1994, replacing the 1974 Control of Pollution Act. Liquid or solid waste from industrial, commercial, and household processes are called controlled wastes. People who only do waste disposals from personal gardens were not included in getting the license. In order to have the license, the person applying has to show that they are fit to hold it. Applications for new site ownership need to be accompanied by the Waste Management Training and Advisory Board (WAMITAB) certificate as proof of “technical competence”.
Section 34 of the act includes the duty of care for people who are part of creating, bringing in, conveying, storing, treating, and removing controlled waste. It was stated in the Act that “any escape or waste must be avoided, waste can only be moved to an authorized person, the waste being transferred should go with a written description or you will be penalized.” Waste disposal methods are regulated by special waste regulations 1996 and the hazardous waste regulations 2005.
Skip Hire Permits
If you’re going to place a skip you hired for a construction project on public land, you need a skip hire permit. Using land that is not yours to place the skip means you must have a skip hire permit. Federal highways, streets, government roads, and land owned by any third party are those that require skip hire permits. You can use your own land or space without a skip hire permit if you have it, only ensuring you don’t cross into land that isn’t yours. If you happen to cross into someone else’s land who isn’t a part of your project, or invade another person’s privacy with the skip, it could be seized or you could be fined. You can get a skip hire permit for £20, although the skip size and issuing council would also affect the cost. There are more expensive skip hire permits; for about £60, £80 and £100. You can contact the council office to find out more about the pricing if you wish. We make it our business at Norris Buckinghamshire to make skip hiring easy for you. Why bother then with getting a skip hire permit when we can get it done for you, along with delivering the skip you hire? We include the cost of getting ski hire permits in our online quotes when you request them, which can be removed if you already have land or a place on which to put the skip. The permits we have available alongside our skip hire services can serve for up to 14 days. Call us today on 020 8698 8000 and we will provide you with any details you might need on our skip hire permits and waste management services.

These restricted items are automotive oils and fluids, medical waste, car tyres, heavy duty batteries, gas canisters, television sets, air conditioning units, refrigerators, aerosols, and fluorescent light bulbs.
Recycling Targets/Landfill Policy
Recycling targets were created by the Environmental Agency and government some time ago. We at Norris Buckinghamshire acknowledge these targets and here they are: The Environmental Agency is on a mission to make sure the environment in England and Wales is improved and protected. Some government organisations and local authorities are tasked with the job of meeting their targets and making sure other environmental services available get to needed locations. The agency aspires to ensure regular improvements in the quality of land, air and water as well. They implement steps that aim to control pollution in the environment, encouraging efforts towards preserving natural resources as well. It doesn’t stop at that! They also provide enlightenment for people on better waste control methods such as recycling household waste. You can contact the Environmental Agency office in your region, or visit the head office in Bristol at Rio House, Waterside Drive, Almondsbury BS32 4UD. Telephone: 08708 506 506. A landfill directive was released because of Government Targets. The amount of waste that requires a reduction for landfilling purposes in the UK is specified. It also added, from 2007, that landfills shouldn’t take waste that hasn’t been treated. The targets are as follows from the most recent year: In 2015, only 35% of the waste collected for filling UK landfill sites in 1995 should be collected. Only 50% of the waste taken in 1995 should be taken for landfill sites in the UK in 2013. No more that 75% of the waste retrieved to use for landfill sites in the UK should be retrieved by 2010 Furthermore, the following targets were introduced by the Waste Strategy 2000, for waste recovery and to make the landfill directive achievable: 67% of waste should be recovered as of 2015, 45% of waste should be recovered as of 2010, 40% of waste should be recovered as of 2005.
The government published, in the Waste Strategy 2000, the following natural recycling targets:
33% of household waste has to be composted or recycled in 2015. Household waste that is composted or recycled in 2010 should be at 30%. 25% of household waste has to be composted or recycled in 2005, although local authority was 30% in that same year. The government issued a ” Waste Performance and Efficiency Grant” to help local authorities recycle more, reduce waste, and for landfill diversions. A list of materials that can be recycled include: wood, vehicles, composting, clinical waste, building materials, batteries, paper, printer cartridges, plastic, furniture, glass, oil, metal, electricals and electronics, computers, and a few others.
